"Mom, I just knew it would be a bad day!"

You can't argue with her when you are in the ER with her and this is her sad announcement just after being shown to your room. Sweet  K just started a swimming strokes class that she LOVES. It was her second day. I dropped her off and got a call about 10 minutes later that she had been hurt. I think all Moms dread this call. The drive to your child wondering if it's minor or major. If they didn't announce the need for 911 than I assume the best. My mind is always on what to do with the kids I just threw in the car, and will Daddy be able to get of work. I hate imposing or at least feeling like I am. I have a wonderful extended family though who are always willing to help.
I got to her in about 5 minutes and could hear the wailing from my car. I am sure she will never try a backwards cannonball off the diving board again. If you looked like this would you?

 I would not. She is miserable, she can't even open her eye and we were on concussion watch all night. I think we are in the clear there. No broken bones. Just ugly shots in her eyelid and some stitches. Her shins broke her fall and she is sore. She did an amazing job withstanding the pain. She held still. I was worried because she is my fit thrower. She is worried her friends will not like her anymore because she looks like a zombie. Awwwwwwwwwwee.
