To say I have bad days before seems to pale in comparison to todays dramatic events and yet when all is said and done it could have been worse.
This guy has earned his name.
my little Wild Thing is the sweetest boy ever, but you had better watch out when life gets stressful he gives me a run for my money. Today after his nap he threw one of his famous fits. The ones that have landed him in play therapy and occupational therapy before the age of two. He has spacial and sensory issues.Today he ran away from me while I was making a sippy and ran himself into the entertainment center and quit breathing. His eyes were sporadically opening and closing and his lips were blue and I panicked and performed CPR and got him to come to again. The Dr's at the ER seem to think his head is fine and that the chest compressions or pounding I did which you are NOT supposed to do which I remembered after I was doing them, did not hurt him. I was so scared and I cried and cried and he is just fine acting like nothing ever happened. Buddy, Mommy can not take the fits or the big scares!!!! When we were in the ER he was jumping off the scale and and hollering "YEE HAW" He seemed no worse for the wear and I was a basket case. I know others people who's kids have done some similar things. My heart goes out to you. It literally takes years off your life.

I'm so glad that he's okay! These little people have no idea how crazy they make us!!
:)
That's SO SCARY!!! Glad he's OK and you too!!
Felicia had a couple little seizures just like that when she was a toddler. It was because Nathaniel hit her or she fell down on a toy or something. Anyway the first time she fell down and started seizing freaked me out, especially when her eyes rolled back and her lips turned blue. Then she passed out. She woke up about a minute later and was really tired and cried while I held her until she finally relaxed and would take a nap. She did that a couple times. Each time completely freaking me out. So I asked her pediatrician about it and he said that it was her crying but not breathing (you know when they open their mouth but no sound comes out - basically holding their breath), so her body shut down so she could take in oxygen. He also said not to worry unless she kept doing it. Luckily she only did it a few times. Each time was a nightmare for me though.
Anyway so happy that you both are allright! Hopefully he won't give you another heart attack at least not like that again! :)

I understand scary these days. :) So glad he is ok. If ever you need to go to the er with a child, I highly recommend PCH. They are fantabulous! Take some time for yourself in the next little while. You deserve it!
