As Members of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints turning eight is a huge milestone and Lightning has hit the big 8. He was baptized and we are so proud of our little man. He has been preparing and looking forward to this day for some time now. There were some very tender moments experienced. Ones we will not soon forget. We are so grateful for those cherished feelings and memories. The memories would not be complete w/out an embarrassing one though, and Little H helped us out there. I was assigned to give the opening prayer. I had strategically placed myself on the end of the bench and had my babies farmed out except Wild Thing. I dropped him in Daddy's lap as I headed up to give the prayer. Little H saw me head up to the stand and wiggled free from G-mas row before she could be caught. My Dad who just had surgery and can not move quickly and is not allowed to was on the end and could not get her. As I am saying the prayer I her "mama mama" I say "sshhh" and pick her up as fast as I can to quiet her. She says "hi" right into the microphone. Yep all in the middle of the prayer..... I QUICKLY finished that prayer and ran back for my seat. Thanks Little H for making this day memorable in more ways than it should have been. Again we are so proud of Lightning for his good choices and can not wait to see the man he becomes as he continues to make great choices.

that is so exciting! congratulations what an awesome experience.
Every baptism is special, but there is just something extra special about your first one getting baptised. I'm glad it was a good day. And it wouldn't have been complete without a little help from Littl H would it?
It was fun to see you a the shower. We need to do something besides the normal bunko night. Maybe through an extra girls' night out in during the month.
Darling LO's!
Congratulations, getting baptised is a huge deal!!!

How wonderful!!! I wasn't baptized till I was 10--my family weren't members--but I remember it so clearly and am so thankful for the blessings of this wonderful gospel. How lucky lightning is to be in your family and to get to KNOW these truths! Congrats to him and LOVE the story of the prayer.....what are little sisters for? :)
Congratulations!!! Isn't it awesome to get them to this point in their lives?
Very cute layouts as well...and LOVE the story, now THAT'S the stuff of memories! You should take a picture of the three of you and dedicate a scrapbook page to it to go right in there with his baptism one!
