Yesterday my Brother-in-law gave us some fresh corn from his garden. I was so excited!!!I hate heating up my kitchen in the summer though and cooking is just NOT my favorite thing these days. I had to eat this yummy corn so I planned a dinner of A-1 chicken, Corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes. I had the chicken thawed and I started cooking. It just seemed to get hotter and hotter in my kitchen and I thought man, this is why I hate to cook in the summer!!!The kids had been playing like they usually do all over the house and I thought nothing of it. Layne decided to come help with dinner and could not believe how HOT the kitchen was. He was smart enough to investigate and realized some little urchants had climbed up and switched the heater on. Curiosity has no boundaries at my house. UMMM little ones if you ever want yummy food again keep your little paws OFF of my thermostat!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure one of the guilty paws belong to Baby H or Smiley who had their first taste of corn on the cob still on the cob today. They did great and Daddy who loves to help me document daily life said hey we should get some pics of their first try at C on the C and so I had a reason to do some scrapping today. I did there C on the C page and a few others over the weekend. I feel like I may actually be catching up:)

Looks yummy....our fresh corn stands will be opening up soon....I can't wait! Even though I, with braces, will be cutting mine off the cob this summer....dang it!

I'm LOL at Crissy's comment, just remembering what she said the other night. At least it was little fingers that turned off your a/c, and not it breaking. That would really not be fun.

yeah, heater in the summer...soooo not a good thing! We too LOVE corn on the cob & can't wait till ours is ready to eat!!! Love the your layouts...you are so amazing at keeping up!!!

Very cute pages! and I thought it was kind of funny about the heater being turned on! Brock did that a few years ago and I was not a happy camper!
