YEAH!!!! SCHOOL IS OUT!!! Lightning just walked in the door and that means we are officially done. I like a lot of things about school being out. It means easier slower paced mornings at my house. It means more chores get done by kids.It means no homework!! It means we get to do fun family things together. There are a few things I am not so thrilled about. Do you remember being a kid in elementary school and the last day of school was exciting because that's when you started planning for next year by what teacher you got. It totally SUCKS that they do not send that info home with the kids anymore!!! I also can not stand all the crap that comes home with the kiddos and having to wait until my kids are in bed to sort and throw it away. I only keep what I know I was grateful I kept. So I waited until today of coarse to bring their memory boxes down . I just purchased one for Emmi and Sissy because they both just started school this year. I was planning a stay at home day and so I planned on putting their little names on the memory boxes. I had just enough laminating paper until my laminator ate my first try. Yep I am going to have the leave the house with all my kids in tow in order to finish the project. Ticks me off!!!

I sent Layne out to pick up a prescription for Lightning and Walgreen's no longer takes my insurance for these meds. Crap, now I have to go out pick up the prescription and spend time I did not have finding a Pharmacy close that takes all my kids different insurances! No need to have to go two different places if I have two sick kids with different insurance. My life is busy enough. So for our family errand tonight we will be picking up the said prescription and running it to the nearest CVS and then going to Office Max for laminating paper and back to the pharmacy. The bright side of being out and about when I was not planning on it is that a friend called and we are going to take all the kids out for dinner. Layne works late tonight and I hate cooking on his late nights anyway so it all worked out for the best. Guess I will have to squeeze a shower in and look semi presentable as not to embarrass my self or my kids!
Miss Mism's
This is what I have started to call the funny stories this kid tells. Her mind I am sure never rests. We were cleaning her room this morning before school and I know a whopper is coming when she says "Mom, I need to tell you something."
"Yep Em go ahead"
"Mom, last night two big dinosaurs came and they bit my finger and it bled and bled and bled."
"Oh Em that is sad. Are you ok?"
" Yeah because they come with band aides and when they are done you get a band aid and it's all better!"
Sissy pipes in...
"Me tooo!!"
Em says
"Yeah Mom, they took all of Sissy's blood and they would not give it back!"
Man that girl is a quick thinker!! Maybe she will be a writer with as quick as she can come up with such tall tales and funny ideas. The other day we were driving by Red Mountain and she said as a baby she climbed it and fell and I caught and rescued her. Where does she get this stuff?? I mean stories about blood at age 4.
Oh raising this one is going to be FUN!!!

hahaha! what a creative imagination! she's so cute!
She is so funny! I like being done with school and schedules and homework, too. We have one more week to go. That is not fun having to find a new pharmacy. I hate having to worry about that. But yay for dinner out! I should've done that tonight too. Instead we nibbled on a bunch of crap. Bad mom night.
Love the memory box idea....I have no idea what to do with everything that comes along with the kiddos! so this will be great!
LOVE the memory box idea, I am totally stealing that ide and the cute nametags! Hope it goes smoothly enough this summer. I am starting on my list of books for Corbin to check out of the library so we can go and get what he already knows he wants. And then I am starting to print off all the school work papers he can do (I am lucky this kid LOVES math and such!)
I have memory boxes....they are empty so far since I haven't gotten around to collecting the various piles of stuff to keep and file away....one of those things on the never-ending "to-do but not urgent" list!
Have fun with her!!! :) Wow!
