Countless hours of listening to screaming we could do nothing about. Countless hours of play therapy, and miles put on my car to chase dead ends. Is he autistic? Is he just a behavior problem? (that made me angry) Was it because of the issues in utero? Was it witnessing to much domestic violence at a tender age? How can we help him? Two years, one stint in play therapy, two psychaitrists, two MPS evaluations, one Occupational Therapist, one acronym diagnosed, three sensory issues, an anxiety problem, three case managers, and one determined Mama later, and he is FINALLY getting the help he needs!! Can you hear the hallelujah chior in the back ground, I can... I have fought the system long and hard. Been on the phone with his insurance countless times. Finally there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Music, occupational, and social therapy all rolled in to one fabulous pre-school type enviroment where he gets ONE on ONE help the entire time he is there. That is three mornings a week. He went this morning to meet Miss B his new sidekick while he is getting the help he needs. Hopefully this coupled with what we have all ready got in place will help our little guy overcome some things he struggles with. Hopefully we will see less of this

I would much rather see more of this instead.

You are my inspiration! Thank you for sharing your trials with me....you have no idea how much I look up to you and want to be like you! I only pray I can take the trials I have and make them into something as wonderful as you.....thanks a million! You are one determined Momma - and I really, REALLY admire that!
You go girl! I know the frustration of the screaming and not getting the appropriate care. Good for you! We are still looking - downfalls of a small town. Keep up the constant battle! The smiles are worth the hours, miles, and closet tears.
