It's Time

To start the switch. The mental and physical switch from summer to that school frame of mind. Time to start switching goggles and swimsuits for backpacks and pencils. Time to say goodbye to morning T.V. before the days begin. No running to and fro from friends houses. Time to buckle down to after school homework and reading. It's 2 weeks till school starts and my kids can't wait to meet their teachers. This is the week I buckle down and inventory all our clothes and shoes. Time to get rid of what does not fit and either pass it down or around to friends or  just plain say goodbye. This is the week all school supplies are bought and sorted. We take what we can to meet the teacher(usually all of it) and leave it there ready to greet them at their desk the first day of school. I will purchase anything I may have missed but before I do that I check my garage. I am always snagging stuff off of the clearance racks and storing it for this week. I love the treasures I find out there.I will have three gone all day and two gone half days 3 days a week. I am not quite sure what I will do with my semi freedom but I am sure it will not take to long to figure it out. When this week of cleaning, sorting, and shopping is over then I pack in one more week with some fun activities. I have and early morning to the zoo planned. A morning at the Bass Pro Shop.I want to do a museum just don't know which one yet. Maybe a drive up to the creek again and as always movie fun and then we will be ready to welcome a new school year because for this tired mom, IT IS TIME!!!
