WARNING!!! No Filter....

I feel that I need to post this sign outside the front door. People need to enter this house with caution. Isn't  it great that children have no inner monologue? They just say what they think. These two have embarrased me more times than I count.
I am an Aesthitician and every other week I wax a few regulars.  I often wonder why  I keep doing this, other than it's nice spending money for me and I don't have to leave my house or my kids to earn a few extra dollars. I have this one client who I just broke down tonight and asked her "why do you keep coming back? I am sooo Sorry!!" Why am I so sorry? because my innocent filter free kids have laid these ones on me and her.

Miss M   " Lady why do you have a beard?"
"Mommy that lady has a mustache, only boys have that!"

Sweet K "Mommy, is she fat?"

I am completely MORTIFIED and EMBARASSED and want to crawl under the closest peice of furniture. Being the amazing, kind,  forgiving, lady that she is, she takes it in stride and keeps coming back.

I always make it a teaching moment, but tonight I had had enough and I made it a topic of what I call a mini FHE or family counsel. I will Not raise rude children if I can help it!!

Funny girls! Just know that you aren't the only one with filter-free kids!

My mustache/beard must not be as bad as it seems to me. :) They have never said anything to me...yet! HA!
And seriously, your kids are NOT the only ones that do this...
Mine have NO FILTER and NO INNER MONOLOGUE. They rarely think before they speak...even the 11 year old.

Well, was she? ; )

Can't fault them for their honesty. Too funny. I had a friend who was at the grocery store once and a black man was standing behing them in line and her son said loudly, "Look how dirty he is mom, he needs a bath!"

I'm with you here! I don't thin they are trying to be rude, but they are and it's so humiliating! I am so sorry.....and yes, my kiddos say the most awful things, it's why they are no longer allowed at the stores!

I have filter-free kids too. For quite a while I completely avoided Target up here because Nicole ALWAYS pointed out the little person who worked there and asked loud questions about them...in front of them...mom, why is he so little? mom, is he a kid?

My friend's little girl was comparing the size of two women at her house last week, deciding which one was "fatter".....she was horrified!

They will eventually find their filters. Or at least we can all hope our children will.... ;)

I love me a kid with no filter.

I feel right at home around them.
