A DAY OFF

To do whatever when ever. I love random days off of school. We stayed in bed just that little bit longer had a great family breakfast. Pancakes compliments of Mom and Dad. Went to our Dental cleaning visits while G-ma D watched the babies. I did not realize it was Veterans Day when I scheduled them. Worked out nice, I did not have to take anyone out of school. Friday though Sissy gets put under to fill 3 more cavities. WHAT????? The dentist said she has poor enamel. That explains it because as fate would have it she's my best brusher. We ate lunch with G-ma D and headed home for some nap time and then off to the Zoo with aunt KayDee. We went late and missed the crowds. We ended up missing a few favorite animals too.Oh Well.....

This kid has been obsessed with all the fun clothes we received form onehm and these shoes are a little to big for her and she would not listen to the voice of reason (ME) and she fell down A-LOT just like I predicted. Anything for some sympathy and a Hello Kitty band-aid. It worked.....
This blue eyed wonder loved that you can get up close and personal with the elephants now. He laughed and giggled and was so excited he even tried to say elephant. His brain gets it, his mouth does not.
We grabbed dinner on the way home and Panda Express gave us someone elses food. My kids were introduced to egg rolls and most of them actually liked them and we scored a free dinner out of the whole ordeal. I was not loading the car and driving back so they are treating me next time we go there SWEET!!! Sure hope you enjoyed the freedom of the day!! Since it is Veterans day I hope you remember those who served and fought on our behalf's so we can live in this great country. I am very grateful to those brave men and woman who have served and who continue to serve THANK YOU!!!!

I love having a "free" day. I did not even realize that it was Veteran's Day yesterday - they don't celebrate it much in Switzerland, dangit. It looks like you guys had a great day at the zoo.

Your pictures look fabulous.

Sounds like the perfect day. Other than the dentist. Isn't it funny, after 13 years of working for one, I still don't like them? Score on the free Panda! Okay, so did you go there because of my post on it?

Sounds like a fun day!!!! My older two love going to the dentist, even the part where they get the cavaties filled, they are crazy kids.
I bet the zoo is nice this time of year, I took my children in april and it was way too hot.

I love the zoo. You never cease to amaze me! Going to the zoo w/ a bunch of small kids...these are the kinds of things people avoid on their relaxing day off! I love it!

You can't say you don't deserve the "Best Mom of the Year" award, when you take all those little ones to the zoo. I wish you all lived closer, we have the best zoo. Of course it's the National Zoo.
The kids are getting big. Lightning looks like he is getting close to the age of accountablility? Crazy where time goes. I still wake up and think for a half second I still live in the condo in Tempe. Then someone sweet lays a wet kiss on me and reality hit. No the wet kiss is not from Keith.

Oh and happy anniversary! Tell Layne I'm so happy that he made the best decision of his life by marrying you. Also if he would have I would have had to kick his butt. And we can only imagine that picture.

You are a hero in my book, taking all the kiddos to the zoo on a holiday is amazing. I won't even take mine to the store...seriously!
Looks like you all had a great time...I have yet to take my kiddos to the zoo.
