ALL THE HAPPENINGS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY week to Lightning. He had a Birthday this week and done tons of celebrating. He got to spend the night at G-Ma's & G-Pa's . We took him for a fun B-day lunch at Sweet Tomatoes. G-pa took him to see Clone Wars. On His big day he wake up to Balloons and doughnuts. I was too lazy to make the trip to Krispy Kreme for the free dozen he had been wanting. I ran to Fry's instead and figured what I paid for the doughnuts is what it would have cost me in gas to make the trip to Krispy Kremes. He did not know the difference he was just happy to get a treat for breakfast.

This kid LOOOOVES Cheesecake and so on his B-day evening he got to open his remaining lute and dig into some yummy out of the box Strawberry cheesecake. I don't do homemade fun cakes. Lame I know...I figure I make up for it with other things. We are not huge cake eaters around here and we usually end up tossing the leftovers. He was having fun playing with his one candle. I think he had a fabulous few days of celebrating.I think his favorite part was no chores on his Birthday and no having to practice piano. Too bad Birthdays are only one day a year buddy.

Here is a pic at his B-day lunch with his G-pa D. Lightning loves my Dad and so do we. My Dad had surgery for
a Pacemaker on Lightnings B-day. I went to the Hospital to visit him and was so relieved to find out all went well. I always get nervous when they are working with the heart. My Dad has a muscle bound heart and needed a pacemaker to keep it in rhythm. He has been having a lot of trouble lately. I am so THANKFUL for modern medicine and the ability we have to help our loved ones stay close to us for as long as we can. My Dad says he was awake for the surgery that they don't even put you all the way out. WHAT????? I would have asked to be put asleep. That would have freaked me out.People messing inside my chest with my heart while I am awake. NO THANKS!!!!! We love you Dad!!
I also had a chance to do a little scrapping in the midst of all the crazynesss. Yeah for me!! I wish I could say things were going to calm down over the next few weeks but we have four different court things going on over the next week and half. These things STRESS me out. I am grateful though to be where we are at and hopefully close to closing some crazy chapters of our and our kids lives.
