It could have been worse... We were having our normal crazy, loud morning when Sissy came running in the room with Miss M trailing right behind. They were both yelling gibberish and blood was starting to run down Sissy's face. I immediately said "Did Miss M hit you again?" I am telling you WWF has nothing on our house! We could get away with charging a few bucks for the show. Miss M of course instead of telling me what happened she starts to defend herself and somewhere in her defense it comes out that Sissy has put one of her My Little Pony beads up her nose. This is where my role as a nurse and sometimes surgeon comes in. Layne and I quickly haul her onto the kitchen counter and try to get her to blow. It doesn't work and she can barely function through the hysterics . I try applying pressure and pushing it out, no luck. Layne goes and gets my handy dandy tweezers which have since been sterilized (waxing clients) and I am able to turn the bead and pull it out. We had a good bloody nose by now and a very sad girl. I am so HAPPY we got it out!! Today was not the day to be trekking off to the Dr's office or Urgent care. I was babysitting a friends little boy and Layne was needing to go to work. My parents were off visiting the newest addition to our family and could not come rescue me. My Brother and his Wife Bek had a little baby girl today. YIPEEEE and CONGRATS. It was meet the Teacher and Lightning had a Dr's appt. No need for any extra trips anywhere today. Speaking of WWF. While we were at meet the Teacher in Miss M's class I sent her off to play with the toys. I am finishing all the paper work and bus stuff and I look up to see where she is to hurry out the door to Lightnings class. Lightning of coarse is too cool for the K room. What do I see? My little wrestler shoving a kid with her whole body because he wants to play with the same Lego's and is getting in her space. Oh it would have been so easy to pretend she was not mine at the time and just let the moment pass but, I claimed her and made her apologize and we ran out the door as fast as I could to Lightnings class. What A day, and that is one more down before the school years begins!!!!!

Holy Cow! What a busy, crazy day for you.....glad you got that bead out on your own! And so glad that school is starting soon for you! I am just getting my little guys back and we only have two weeks before school starts up after that so I am hoping to just enjoy them as much as I can....I guess there is something to say for your kiddos being gone for so long....you don't have time to get sick of them during the summer break!:)
What a day is right! Good thing for tweezers. Hopefully she won't try that again. I never understood why some kids feel the need to stick things up their noses. I never did. I swallowed things instead....like pennies.
that is so sad. i am glad you were able to get it out. just think that is something you will never forget ;)
wow, what a crazy day! Glad you were able to get that bead out on your own. I was laughing at Miss M's body slam for the lego's. I guess it's only funny when it's not my kid. Congrats on the new addition to the family and hope today is a little less stressful!
holy cow! not fun! way to go getting the bead out. WHOOHOO for awesome tweezers! and mad tweezer skills. LAME!
whoohoo for meet the teacher. bummer on the fighting, but hey, at least the teacher knows what she is getting now. i always like to warn them up front.
woohoo on the new Niece! so exciting!
Hey, I just came over from Devri's blog, and you have a gorgeous family and I can't imagine how crazy your life is... but I crave what you say in your Profile about small miracles happening all the time- you worded that beautifully. I just wanted to say hello so I didn't feel like a crazy blog-stalker!
Oh man don't you just love being a mom!?
Cody once kept sticking a balloon up his nose because all the kids thought it was so funny!
Well after many times it didn't come out & we spent a long time at ER-fun times!
I love the music from MAMMA MIA on your blog!
