I call it semi freedom week because it can not be freedom week until all my kids are in school.My Sista-in-law has called the first week of school freedom week and for a while now. She celebrates it by hangin with friends shopping and going out to lunch all with out kids. It will be a while before I have a true freedom week but I will celebrate what I do get. Lightning is our first out the door.He was so cute. when I asked him to pose for some first day of school pics he said "How about I climb the tree that is what I love to do?!" This kid usually does not like his pic taken so I happily agreed. He insisted he wear his new jeans I bought too big on purpose. I warned him he may be hot but he insisted. He'll figure it out the hard way about recess time today. He was so funny at breakfast. He is close to his big 8 and baptism so we talk about it a lot. My Mom brought a pic of my first B-day over the other day and it is on the fridge and we were looking at it this morning and he asks me,"Mom, did you take a picture when John Baptized Jesus?"
I said
"Do you really think I am that old?"
"YES"
I feel that old!!!! Today Wild thing got graphite all over him and the play room. Carpet and all. I was TOOOOO MAD to stop and take pics. So semi freedom is a perfect way to describe school starting . Whatever it is I will take it!!! I sure hope Lightning has a great day and a better school year this year. I can not wait to hear how his day went. I am sending them off in shifts.

whooohoo happy 1st day!! i like to believe life is much easier with any one child removed! so enjoy it! WHOOHOO we survived summer!
