That is what a RUDE lady at Target said to my sweet boy today. I swear I am a magnet for rude people. I don't get it either. I do not take my kids out in public looking like crap. They always have their hair done are clean and are in decent clothing. Not that if a person or kid looks that way you are allowed to be rude to them either, but I am not doing anything besides raising my family and going to Target for what I need. It seems Target has some not so friendly guests.
After movie fun today I asked my Mom if she wanted to go to Target with me. I only had three of my kids with me. We were almost ready to go and Smiley who is a loud two year old but was not throwing a fit or doing anything besides talking loud was in the cart. A lady comes down the aisle and as she comes around the corner says "JUST SHUT UP" to Smiley. I was floored. I said "Did you just tell my little boy to "SHUT "UP"?" She looked at me with a not so friendly glare and walked off. I moved up a couple aisles to where she was and said real LOUD to my Mom "Hey Mom isn't Target a public place? Don't you think people who don't like kids or other people should stay home or mind their own business?"She looked at me and glared again but never said another word and we headed to the check out. Can you believe that???? I am still mad and a little stunned!!

HOLY COW!! You handled that much nicer than I would have. They probably would have had to call security to keep me away from her. The nerve of some people these days.

You have got to be kidding me....I am floored. I can't believe she said that to a child. I've had rude people say things to me in front of my kids....but if they did it to my kid.....I'm not sure what I would do. I don't think it would be a good thing though.

Ya like Kaydee said have they never had some baby they cared about in their life even if it wasnt theirs! That is sooooo RUDE!!! I am getting angrier and angrier thinking about it! UGH!

i am afraid i would have totally lost it on that lady..i am impressed with the way you handle it. i don't understand what the problem is..you go to a public place there is gonna be noise, deal with it. have a problem with people that have had kids and forgot that they are loud or those people that just can't stand kids should maybe find somewhere else to shop!
W-O-W! I just don't know what I would have done in that situation. I have a potty mough though so I might have just opened that up on her. Yikes! I am so sorry that nasty woman said that to your child.

Oh my gosh!! I am fuming at her right now and it wasn't even my kid! I hope you followed her home and found out where she lives so I can go egg her house tonight. Oh I am mad!
