NOPE you guessed wrong... We have not taken in anymore kiddos or pets. We finally got the bunk beds we ordered a LONG time ago. They are just what we needed. My girls can no longer reek havoc at night. We put miss M up in her bunk and take away the ladder until she is sound asleep. NO more nights of finding the entire contents of the closet on the floor compliments of Sissy. No more jumping from bed to bed. We had tried several reward programs that only lasted a short while and then they would return to their playful ways. My Brother
Nelson and his crew came over and my Sista-in-law Ashley watched my kids while I organized the switching of the rooms and Nelson put the Bunk beds up and moved the cribs to the babies new room. His little boy Brady was a huge helper. He grabbed the power tools and told us what we were doing. Thanks for your help B-Man! THANKS YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!!! I had bought the matching armoire a while back and it is so fun to have the room finally coming together. Now I can put up a few of the cute things I bought for their room a long time ago. Some things I forgot I had. We have lived in this house for over two years and I have yet to hang anything on their bedroom walls. Maybe I will post a few pics when I am ALL done. I am so happy... Did I say that yet?

I am also happy because my friend
Tamee came in to town this week and I went out Friday afternoon to her
sisters house to visit and catch up. She has three of the most adorable little kiddos. I had such a great time. I can not remember the last time I spent so much relaxing time on my own doing what makes me happy. I went straight from there to bunko where I so cleverly won a door prize. The prize rocks though!. It is a really cool paper towel holder that I did not take a picture of. I need to spray paint it and hang it up and then maybe I will show it off. Thanks
Suzanne for such a fun night!! It only gets better. Layne and I rarely get to go on dates and tonight we have a babysitter and we are off to Macayo's to have dinner. Just the two of us. I think I forgot what that is like.
Maybe I am mean to film it, but I could not help myself. Baby H was really tired today and so when lunch was over I thought I would hurry and change her diaper and put her down before she fell asleep in the chair. As you can see I was not quick enough. My other kids think this is the funniest thing ever!!! Pretty sad that she can sleep sitting up with all that noise going on around her. It really is survival of the fittest around here:)

That video is too funny!
I was so worried she was going to hit her head.
The bunk bed looks great & what a great solution to a bedtime wander!
Love the beds! And that you take away the ladder after she's asleep - brilliant! I want to see pics when it's all done.
And oh how I love when they're sleeping sitting up. Adorable! I have a video of my niece doing the same thing, only she's trying to feed her face at the same time.
Hope you have fun on your date.
That is hilarious! I can totally hear the Night at the Roxberry's song in my head (is that the right name?)while watching this! It is on that Pepsi commercial now. Hope you had fun at dinner. :) Love date night.
Brady is so cute when he wants to fix things! Nelson tought him well! lol When Ashley came over to help me decorate brady had rileys toy hammer and was helping us put nails in the wall! And the bunk beds are so cute i love them! And baby H is too stinkin cute! I just love her!
YAY for bunk beds! They are truely heaven sent! And yay for a night out....you totally deserve it!!!
What a fun day! :) Really, though you're kids are great and I can't get over "Smiley" (do we still call him that on here...can't remember...) and him throwing away his plate when he was done with lunch! You're doing an amazing job! And the Bunkbeds look so good, compliments of Brady boy! He sure loves to play/fix with tools! True Dent at heart!
The video of baby H is priceless!
Love the bunk beds, sounds like a great solution. I would love to see their room when you get it done!
Date nights, rock!
Baby H is so cute with her little head swaying back and forth. I feel that tired to day after a long weekend.
Good stuff...
Hey, Jamie! Having a night of blog-hopping after the baby went to bed and came across your blog. I loved reading about your kids and your life with Layne. If you follow-up on the comment, it should reply back to my email. Take care!
Yay for the beds finally getting here! They look fab! I am jealous.
Cute new bed! Hope the "corralling them in" is working for you. Our 6 and 2 year old share a room, and this summer has been a nightmare with our lax schedule...usually the 2 yo is in bed 1st and asleep when the 6 yo goes to bed....but lately it's been late so they go at the same time, which ends up with lots of playing and mommy losing it.....then 6 yo ends up in our bed to get to sleep. I'm excited for school and the schedule it forces me in to. :)
Love the sleeping/bobbing girl! It always amazes me what kids can sleep through.
That bunk bed is so cute! I love the color! I bet the girls are totally loving them.
I love it when kids do funny stuff like that....your not a mean mom...I would have filmed it too.
I love it, my son fell asleep eating once but his head landed in his food.
