I think part of the reason for my grumpiness lately is the HEAT and having everyone cooped up inside with me. I was so HAPPY to see the Monsoons roll in!!!

I have been letting the kids go outside more the last couple of days. I know it's not much cooler, but it's enough to know they are not frying their little brains or burning their little feet. My kids get so excited and scream "OUTSIDE ,OUTSIDE!" They started screaming that today, so I let them out and when it started raining I did not have the heart to bring them back in. They played for a couple of hours content and happy in the rain. It makes a mess and a little more work, but it was
sooo worth it!! For me and for them. Total white trash to let my kids play outside in their undies but sometimes fighting to get them dressed two or more times a day is just not worth the fight. Lightning was so grateful!! He realized I even let them play in the rain on a Sunday and just kept repeating it. I guess he was a little amazed.I checked the forecast and it's supposed to be a wet week. YEAH, we need the rain!!!!!!

I used the slide as my cleanup station. Off came the clothes and
diapers and on came the hose. Baby H had mud and dirt ground into her hair. She hated it and put up quit a fight. I think the
neighbor's must have thought I was beating her. Se was not happy about her hose bath.

I love this time of the summer!
It looks like your kiddos enjoyed every minute.
Too fun! We are supposed to get wet this week....we'll see if it actually happens though. If it does, I fully intend on sending my kids out in it as well! :)
you are a super fun mom, we were having dinner about that time, so no play for us. there's always next time. WHAT a fun day for your kids.
How Fun! They look like they had a blast! I am a rare mom that thinks it is cute to see little kids play in the mudd!
We were getting out of church during the storm and you should have seen everyone having fun in the rain! Our Bishop even took his two little ones and they were swimming(really swimming) in the flood of water out front of our building!
Very fun. Nothing like playing in the summer rain. Love all the pictures!
It looks as if they're enjoying every minute of it. Those pictures are great!
Here's to getting super soaked!
We were sad that we were in UT and missing the big storms! Monsoon season is always a highlight at our house.
