Just a few words I would use to describe my liitle girl today. I am so proud of my sweet little Sissy. She was a trooper today. She HATES strangers invading her space and she is usually not cooperative if confronted by one in any way. She was tested today to see about getting her some much needed speech therapy. She had her eyes checked no tears, her ears checked, a full screening, and a lot of motor skill testing all with perfect and different strangers each time and not one fit or tear filled tantrum. She definitely qualified for some help but during her hearing test we found out she may have only partial hearing in her left ear. I am so sad about this little turn of events. I had to go to her Dr's office for a referral to the ENT to have more testing done and she has an active ear infection in her left ear which they said may have given us a false test result. I sure hope that is true. We will put her on this new antibiotic and when it's finished we are off to see if this is true and how it will affect her long term. They said it should not effect her speech but she is almost three and has not even progressed to two word sentences. Believe me when I say that has not been a problem when she really wants something she has her high pitched whiny way of getting it. This one is nothing if not resourceful! Because she had such a long morning and I did not have time to take her home she got to go to Aunt
KayDee's B-day lunch with us. That was a great way to end a stressful but productive morning. Happy Birthday big Sis:) I hope your day was a happy day!!!!! I am so glad my little girl is finally going to get the help she deserves.

whoohoo! love getting evaluations over with! congrats on that! yay!
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYDEE! whoohoo! fun birthday lunch!
Hopefully the ear infection was clouding the hearing test. Glad she was so good for you and hopefully she can get the help she needs. Nice to have that done, huh? She is a cutie!
Yay for speech therapy!! My oldest and youngest both had speech problems. Therapy and one-on-one work at home will work wonders for her. In the year and a half that Jared has done it we've seen incredible improvement.
I hope everything turns out OK! She sure is a stinkin' cutie!
I do hope all turns out well for that cutie and she gets all the help she needs.
Glad that Sissy did so well...I don't know if you remember, but Little L wasn't even talking at 3. So not to worry, she will learn it all in her own time!
So glad that she's getting what she needs!
Happy Birthday to KayDee! Glad that she had a fun lunch to celebrate!
So happy that she is getting help and that she did so well. I am so happy you have her too! She probably wouldn't be getting this help if you weren't in her life! What a little sweetheart.
YEAH!!! the twins are both in preschool for speech. It's so wonderful. How fun to get to go be a big girl with the grown ups!!!
hope everything goes well with her ear stuff. my brother and sister both no hearing in one ear. my sisters started when she was about your little girls age and my brothers was caused by a motorcycle accident. anyway, glad that she is gonna get the help she needs.
I hope it was just the ear infection too! But yay that she did great with the evaluation and will get the speech therapy.
