A FUN KIND OF BUSY

I love it when my kids are out of school. We get to hang out a little more than usual. The only Black Friday shopping I did was online. I spent the majority of the day w/my kids. We went out to lunch and picked up Lightning who had spent the night w/his Cousin Talmage. We hit an afternoon showing of Enchanted with G-ma and G-pa and a few cousins. I really liked this movie and so did My kids . I was surprised to hear Sissy laughing at all the right times and at things she alone thought were funny. I just love hearing this little one come out of her shell.

We hit the Golden Arches (YUCK!) for some play time w/ Sissy's Bio Brothers. My kids had a full day of serious junk food and Miss M really payed the price . She got up last night telling me her tummy hurt. Three lovely, disgusting upset tummies all over her bed for Mom to clean up have convinced her that maybe she should not eat everything in sight. She woke up this morning a new girl and was ready to run errands w/me. To top off our fun filled family weekend we met Aunt Denice and her kids for a puppet show put on by the Wade family. What a blast!!!!!! I tried to take some fun photos but again, my skills are lacking...
These are full size cowboy/cowgirl puppets and the one below was hilarious. Crazy puppet heads sticking out of the quilt. Singing in perfect harmony.
Baby H actually stood up and danced side to side and Smiley clapped his way through the show. Thanks Aunt Denice. That was a fun evening.
How funny that my AZ bred kids kept their jackets on inside during the show. It is sad that they are such a novelty. I am lovin this cool weather and hope it sticks around!!!!!!!!!

what a FUN weekend! i didn't go black friday shopping either, which is a first for me. there just wasn't anything that screamed buy me. plus we don't have any little kids right now and that is usually who i get the best deals for. we had a family weekend too, without the upset tummy. we already had our turn with that. :)just me and taylor, andrew had to work. gotta love retail!

and i have to ask, because i'm nosy...what's this eyebrow thing everyone keeps asking you about?

How fUn! I really want to see that movie, but not sure my boys would be into it. And what a fun puppet show! Golden Arches - not my favorite either. Luckily my oldest is growing too big for the play center so I only have one to drag out of there. Sorry your little one had a sick tummy. I hate that the worst!!

As a former foster child, my thanks goes out to foster parents and child welfare professionals who recognize the capabilities and potential of children in your care -- and are courageous enough to fight for them to receive support and services.

Please tell me about your experiences in advocating for foster children:

1.) Examples of when it has been successful
2.) Roadblocks when it hasn't
3.) Techniques that you have found to be most effective

Your insights will be used in a 2008 conference to 'train the trainers' of every county foster parent and social worker in my state. The information that you share can be anonymous.

Looking forward to hearing from you...

Hey Jamie, looks like your weekend was jam packed. But it looks fun, especially the puppet show.
Hope all is good with you, I am now working for Dr. Chamberlain in Chandler, so it is going o.k. Are you still working for Dr Frost?
