What you did today

#11 What you did today
In a single day I do alot around here. Most of it centers around the mundane. Today however in remembrance of those who lost their lives 12 years ago my friend and I loaded up our kids, 15 in total, and headed to Tempe Town Lake. The city sets up an amazing memorial each year. A flag in remembrance of each life lost on this tragic day in American history. I want my kids to know and hopefully understand how precious a gift our freedom truly is. I hope they can come to appreciate the sacrifices of our military past and present. We must teach our children or somebody else will. Their was a anti-child abuse booth passing out little American Flags. I thought is was so cute that my kids found a spot of ground to put their flag in and some important thing, or dead pet to pay tribute too. They got the concept on some small level and I am grateful. The dead battery and ensuing issues that caused when we got to the car was not fun, but I would do it again and plan to each year.
