While I was sick and healing in those months after surgery and radiation I felt very disconnected as a Mom. I was tired so much with little patience. Well, that could be any day.... Truly though, it was just a different kind of tired. I could and still do see some of the effects of an absentee Mother. As Christmas approached and I was feeling so much better I tried to get back into some of my old routines. I started trying to do more group things together again. They always take more time, patience, and energy. I did it. It was so fun and so worth it. Every reaction was worth every effort. I got this fun idea (not from pinterest) to make an AZ Snowman out of our left over pumpkins. He turned out great!
It was cheap and easy. Dowels and paint and leftover buttons. Scarf and Hoodie from our house. Carrot, candy canes and broken old branches off a plant out back. I think we may make this a tradition. Cooper was so sad the day Frosty had to take a ride in the black barrel. It was hard convincing him we could not keep him all year. A true Snowman can never hang around for long and especially in AZ.

I never would have thought of an snowman made out of pumpkins. Clever. It's funny what you take for granted (i.e. snow). Have your kids ever seen it?
Glad your feeling better. Remember, you have done the best that you could do. Cut yourself some slack. :)
I love the AZ snowman. We may have to add that to our list of Christmas traditions. So cute! And you are a great mom!
