Have you always heard that pools are money pits? We had heard similar. When we found our new house that met all our criteria and it just happened to have a pool that was outdated and in need of a complete overhaul. What were we to do? Fill it in? Pay thousands to bring it up to date? Not buy the house? I loved the idea of a pool with 8 small kids to entertain. Mr. M. Not so much. It could have been a deal breaker. Well a money pit it is..... whether we fill it in or remodel/re-do it. It is still usable so until all plans are final we are taking advantage and just livin with it's issues. We are hoping to have it all spruced up by the actual true beginning of summer. We will see...

I promise when your kids get a little older, they will be friends.
I wish I had a pool...my kids are already discussing pool passes. Yuck! As long as it's functional; enjoy it!
Your pictures (as always) are beautiful. I would love to pick your brain regarding Photoshop.
We can't wait to swim in your redneck pool...
I say keep it! It really does fight the boredom on those hot summer days and I love that we don't have to leave the house to go swimming. Plus you always have a place for fun b-day parties now.
uhm, they are money pits for sure, but a money pit with benefits, as you named, for sure!
I want a money pit like that. Splenda Daddy would never go for it. Not in a million years. BUt I like seeing your kids have so much fun
