Time Away

I have  to tell you I have since the day we bought it had a love/ hate relationship with our time share. Ok, mostly hate. I admit it, I think they cringe when they see me coming or happen to be the not so lucky person to answer my phone call.I guess if they had been honest and up front all those years ago they would have a better customer rating. I don't feel so bad because I guess I am not the only one. We pay for it so we must use it, love it or not. I admit it does have a few perks. It affords us, if the timing is right quick close get aways. So Mr.M.

Took Mrs. M (Diaper Diva, Jamie)

Away for 3 days.
Ok here it is for all of you who question why you never see us on our blog. Here we are and it's killing me to  post a pic of myself. Don't like them, nuff said.
It was soooo FABULOUS!!
We got our own parking space, no joke, VIP just for us. First time evah!!!! Got a little secluded studio overlooking the beautiful Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona. It was a great going away gift from them because little did they know, or us for that matter that we would be dumping there stinky hiney's for greener time share pastures before the weekend was out. Dodged a bullet as our lovely time share people did not inform us they had filed bankruptcy and we would be getting some surprise large bills in the mail in the near future. PHEW.............
What a fun walk down memory lane though. We went back and visited Jerome. Quaint little mining ghost town, population 326. It is built on a mountainside above Clarkdale. It was our first stop on our Honeymoon. We stayed at the historic Connor Hotel on our honey moon.

I love how small town Ireland this place feels reminds me of my mission. Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

I love how right on the hillside is an abandoned old building that actually has a glass blowing studio up the hill from it and then down the hill a house some one still lives in with satalite and all.
This is my FAV fudge shop I think of any where I have been. It was our first stop.

It is so full of history.

See this old furnace. We have something in common. Check out the fourth line below,

sometimes I run on Coke too. So glad my supply is closer though. Just like this furnace I am pretty sure the Coke a Cola will eventually kill me so I am working on giving it up.
It was soooo worth all the work it takes to get out of town. The kids cutting each others hair while we were gone. My poor sister. That was the worst of it, so we are happy. We ate at yummy places, lazed around, did a lot of window shopping, ok, and bought stuff too. Can't wait to do it again!!!!

Sounds fun! Parent getaways are a must for sanity....unfortunately, I don't think any of us get away as often as we should. :)

Sounds and looks heavenly. So glad you got away. Luvpilot and I really need to get away and do something like this. I've lived here 12 years and still have never been there. Great pictures - even of you!

Oh I'm so happy for you two! There is just nothing like getting away with your hubby without any kids. David and I just recently went to Naples, Florida and it was just what the Dr. ordered. (I being the Dr. in this case!) Good for you guys and your picture looks great. Post more pictures of yourself and then book your blog so your heritage will be able to put a face with such a fantastic lady!
