seem to get it together lately and sit down to update this dang blog. Not that I have anything interesting to say at all. I have just been busy with all the junk life throws my way. I have been really busy wearing myself out while working on my two words (health, play) for the year. I am faithfully at the gym 3 to 4 times a week and I am no longer so sore I can't walk after a bazillion lunges and squats forced upon me by my trainer. I am wondering if they remember I have a upper body that needs to share the love. Give my dang lower half a break! I definately feel the difference from the work outs and I will keep going just because it is one place I get to go alone. Let's see, stay on this eliptical machine or go home and wrestle with kids? Easy, stay on the eliptical machine, ear buds in, music blaring. As much as I really do enjoy being away for a while I am always glad to get home. I have really made it a point to engage with my kids lately especially if I find my self with them one on one. Sweet K and I were chit chatting in the car the other day and out of the blue she says, "Mommy, do you think the Tooth Fairy came to collect some of my teeth and because I don't have any out of my mouth yet she got mad and gave me these warts instead?" She has two yucky warts on her hand and I guess she has deemed them punishment from the Tooth Fairy. She makes me smile. I am sure glad I was tuned in or I may have missed that one. I have been making a point to get down on the floor and play cars and blocks or cuddle a little longer with them in the morning. We have been getting out of the house lately too. Today was a half day at school again, isn't Spring Break coming up? I'll never understand their reasoning.... Any whoodles, it was a half day and so we snuck in the piano we missed at the begining of the week, met with our Adoption case worker, and headed for the Zoo to get our membership taken care of for the year and visit some animals not related to us. I am going to start taking the kids on random afternoons. We had the Zoo to ourselves. A worker there was telling me 3 to close is dead year around because of school. I realized it was Baby L's first trip to the Zoo. I was so glad I thought to grab my camera.

I would have missed some tender moments. C-Dog sure loves his new little Sister and is such a big help with her. She must have loved it because she was all tuckered out and sleeping five minutes after we got in the car.We took advantage of Wacky Pack Wednesday at Sonic. When we were ready for bed we sang our hearts out to Little Bunny Cotten Tail and the kids made their way to bed. C-Dog and I did some Wii bowling and finally the house is quiet. So here I sit rambling on about nothing much. Lucky you......

Sounds perfect to me! How fun that Baby L got to go to the Zoo for the first time:)
It sounds like a perfect day. I love the zoo! :)
I have a question, no offense is meant, I'm purely curious. Do you only have children come to your home that are available for adoption? Or do you also take at risk children or children that may return to their biological parents?
I so miss that zoo! It's one of my faves! Great photos and I'm glad you are too busy to blog....that means you are being SUPER MOMMY! :)
Mrs. Kish,
No need to ever worry about offending me. All my kids could have gone back to their birth parents at any moment until severance. We took them in and prayed everyday Heavenly Father would let them be truly ours. It can be a rough road but well worth it!! You can email me any time jmeemm@gmail.com
OH girl.. I hate to excersice but I love how it feels, I love to hurt, means it is workin' lol as I was about to hyperventalate sp?? in the pool, I just think of one of my days with the children. If I can do that, I can take care of my 7 rugrats!
What precious moments and great memories are made at the zoo!
oNce we were looking at the gorilas, and Elaiasi told Maka ;Hey dad, he looks like you!" fun times!
You are living your words.
Way to go.
And good idea to hit the zoo right now, especially on an early out day.
SOOOO FUN! i LOVE your adorable kids. I totally need to take 'my' little ones to the zoo. So smart! :)
Sounds like you are in the right place and the right time. Good on ya!
I know I have been commenting on everything, but I just had to say that last pic of your oldest with the baby made me tear up! So precious! People that don't understand big familiies don't understand what sibs do for each other...
