MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

PhotobucketI have thought a lot this Christmas about my crazy family and miracles. What a MIRACLE it is that I have a family!! Being a Mother was something I thought I may not have the chance to experience. When we decided to adopt through foster care we had no idea how quickly our lives would change. These six little miracles who make me crazy and challenge me every day are the best things to happen to this family. We went to The Forgotten Carols last night and I sobbed through the song Mary Let Me Hold Her Baby. I reached out and held My Miss M's hand as Layne put his arm around me and pulled me close knowing exactly how I feel about Motherhood and the challenges and miracles it has brought into our lives. While I have never given birth, I am not childless and all children come straight from our Heavenly Father no matter how they finally got to us. Heavenly Father is letting me hold his babies. Joseph was not the literal Father of our Savior Jesus Christ and yet he took on the challenge and raised him as his own. Can you imagine that responsibility? The message our Savior gives us is hope and peace and I am SO grateful for this season because it reminds me of his message. It drives home the fact that we all have challenges so different and yet so much a like and that we all have have the same source to look to for hope and peace if we CHOOSE to. May you and your families have a very
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Beautiful post. You made me cry. (Especially with Josh singing in the background). I know some of the struggles you've gone through, and I also know those babies were meant to be with you. I'm so thankful for our Savior and a loving Heavenly Father who knows our needs and our struggles.

Have a very Merry Christmas with those cute little kiddos!

You are one of the best mothers I know. I am positive that Heavenly Father would never want your talents wasted by never having children.
I know how many struggles our children have been through and I feel so blessed as well to be able to have these special spirits in my home.
I am so glad to have such a great friend like you to talk with and to have someone who KNOWS what I am going through...
You are THE BEST!! Thanks for all you do for me, Jamie!

Merry Christmas to you too!!

Yes - being on stage and right there during that song, the same things hit home for me too. I am so grateful that we share that same bond and that we ARE mothers. Even if we didn't give birth. What a wonderful post - it brought me straight back to that very night. Thank you.
