We left the court building before they decided on more dates and now are begging to get out of the last date so we don't have to cut into our already planned family vacation. Don't worry Joy,we think we may have it solved. I will let you know!!

Bubba even tried to get in on the act. He thought though if he just pointed his finger and bossed the birds around they would listen. MMMMHHH? I wonder where he learned that?? I have got some news for ya buddy . It doesn't work for me either!!
Swimming is always a hit with the munchkins . What a great idea!! We had a great time. :)
While we were there I asked how Lightning was doing. His teacher paused and then began to tell me how much talking Lightning tries to get away with. He said that was his biggest concern. He is getting his classwork done and otherwise is a good boy. I wanted to hug the man fiercely. If talking is all it is, I'll take it!! Lightnings school behavior track record is not fabulous. We have had some struggles and when I went to tell this teacher about his history. He said, "It does not matter!" He meant it. He did not want to hear it. He did not want any preconceived notions. He knows how to handle these kids and has an amazing way with these kids, they love and respect him. I think(fingers and toes crossed) we are going to have great year and I am SOO relieved and thankful!!!!!!!!!
On a sad note Layne's Aunt was killed in a car accident this week. He will be heading to the funeral with his Sister and leaving me to fly solo. While I am so grateful he can be a support to his family, I am not looking forward to the solo flight ahead.He has done this very thing for me countless times and I know just how blessed I am to have him!!

So sorry about Layne's aunt. And for you to have to be the single mom. I wished we lived closer so I could help you out. I had a dream about fostering and adopting a baby girl last night, and woke up totally wanting to do it. Am I nuts?
So glad Lightning has a good teacher. He sounds fabulous! I love it when we have teachers that really love what they do, and are dedicated. It makes a huge difference.

I am sorry to hear about your husband's aunt! That is terrible news. I am also sorry about the court dragging everything out. I was wondering about October while reading it so thanks for the plug. We will keep our fingers crossed.
My heart goes out to Layne's family. Why does such terrible things seem to be happening lately to such good people!? Hopefully your 'solo' trip won't be too difficult.
And what a cool teacher! It is one of the best feelings to know that a teacher cares about your kid as much as you do.
Sounds like you guys have an incredible school teacher! I'm impressed with his ability to interact with the kids....he sounds like he will be great.
Sorry about the court case...our good friends do foster care and it's taken 3 years and millions of court dates to get their little boys....the system is ridiculous (but that's another story!)
