BIG OOPS!!

This guy saw his friends Baptismal invite and wanted to know if I was making him one. He will be baptized soon. Why not right? I thought no big deal. I asked him where he wanted me to take his picture at. He said the place with the colored walls so I loaded the car with the kiddos and we headed out tonight. I contemplated calling onehm, and in hind sight it just would have been a smarter idea all around. It was just so last minute and I hate asking people last minute for things. I do not posses a great camera or fabulous skills, but I get by.

So I loaded the crew and headed for down town. That place is just to exciting for little ones. It's too hot for to much outside play and my cooped up kids were loving being able to run and play.
I thought I would just snap away and grab some group pics while I had them all together. They were all a little too excited and when we got to the big cement stairs Wild Thing could not stay away and took a hard cement tumble. I rescued him and of coarse one trip down cement stairs were not enough for this tyke he went for it again and in my attempt to rescue the Wild Thing I dropped my camera
OOOOOOPPPPSSS!!!!
It did not come away from the incident as well as the wild thing did. Nope it's a complete loss.

A new camera was not really in the budget. We luckily have connections at the Costco and will be able to get a full refund and apply that to the purchase of a new toy for Mommy. I actually am so excited because while I have no desire to be a professional photographer I would like to take better everyday photos and have better pics for scrapbooking. I was kind of worried about how the Man of the house was going to take my not so brilliant news but he was very understanding as he knows Wild Thing and his potential for self inflicted bodily harm. He knows how much it takes to keep him safe and secure.

Congrats?? I hope your next one survives Wild Thing! Those are some cute pics though; pretty impressive that you got ALL of them to sit still for that group pose!

I discovered a while back that taking group pictures of the kids without 2 adults present is dangerous to life, limb, camera, and said children....I'm glad that you do have Costco connections.....being without a camera would just be too sad. You did get some good pictures before the unfortunate accident though! :)
