ALL MINE

My Husband works every Saturday. I really don't know life any other way It's not always fun but I don't have a choice. A lot of things go undone because his weekends are Sunday Monday and it just messes stuff up. That makes Saturdays when he is home SOOOO Wonderful!! Not only did he buy me a new toy. (see post below) I was out of the house this morning by 6:30 to get my nails done and do some grocery shopping. When I came home the kids were fed, dressed and the dishes were done. He had made little snowflake cut outs with them for me. When I got home Layne went outside in this blasted heat and pulled weeds and mowed the lawn. I could get used to this!!!!Him helping so much made it so it took me half the time to get through my chores. Saturdays and Sundays are usually my hardest days of the week . THANKS HONEY!!!

LIGHTNING, This little man of mine gives me the hardest time!. This boy refused to actually do his one big Saturday chore. He fights me every week. So this week I sent him to his room and said I would not be doing one of my chores either this week. I chose not to do his laundry. Oh isn't he going to be sad. This is the only way I can think of to teach him that we all pull our weight around her. I know some boys would not care, but when I informed if this he sobbed. I guess we will see.... This same boy who fights me every week left me the sweetest of notes that I found when I was cleaning. Thanks buddy for the gentle reminder that you have such a kind heart and I need to not be so hard on you sometimes. I sure love you!!

Both these guys are "ALL MINE" and I am very GRATEFUL!!!!!!!

Godd job daddy- great job lightining. these children these days are the hardest, but they have to be. they were sent here saved for this time of life, to battle the ugly-ist battles of there life... they surely are god's choice children.. go kids!!!!

Woo-hoo for having some help for your Saturday! I don't care what anyone says: two sets of hands are better than one...especially with kiddos!

Lightning's note is make me all teary eyed, that's so sweet!

You're a lucky, lucky girl!!

Now that all your chores are done, go have some fun...see you soon.

That is so sweet. All of it. And wow, Devri's comment too. What a reminder both your post and her comment are to me, to not be so hard on my "hardest" too. I was just complaining about him earlier to Luvpilot when he called.

You are ONE lucky woman to have such a great husband.....there aren't a ton of them out there and I am thankful to have one too....glad you were able to get so much done!!! And out of the house at 6:30 on Saturday....WOW! I would have slept in! :) And I totally 100% understand your situation with your litle guy....I'm right there with you. 2nd day of school brought a call from the principals office....I don't know what to do. He throws such awful temper tantrums....and he's SIX! And as for chores, sometimes he will do them, but he wouldn't care IF he had clean clothes, he'd just wear dirty stinky ones.....what's a mom to do???

Teaching kids to do chores and pull their weight around the house is hard.....whether the kids are "hard" or "easy"! Good idea though on the not doing his laundry, he sounds like he'll catch on. I REALLY need to figure out what works for my kids....I need help! :)

Love the note from Lightening, when they do stuff like that it more than makes up for some of the frustration they can cause us!

YAY for Layne (Love that you got a pic of him!) and I am jealous of your new toy!
