FRONT VIEW
These are the new steps my brother and Layne built for our tramp. He painted them today. He also painted the sand box but I did not get any pics so I will try later.
I bought the new bunk beds for Miss M and Sissy today. The matching armourer will be delivered on Monday. I am going to put them in another bedroom so my sweet brother painted what used to be the babies bed room/play room a very light pink for me today. The bunk beds are yellow and so in the armourer. We got an armourer with dresser drawers on the bottom because my babies have knocked the T.V. over on themselves and broken two or three DVD players and I needed a better arrangement all around. I also needed more dresser space so I got a two for one with the armourer. All our electronic equipment will be to high to get to and there will be no way to dump the T.V on top of any one. I can not wait! These are not the bunk beds I chose they had no pic on Costco.com
This is my new pale pink room during it's transformation. I am sure glad I did not ever decorate the other room and now have to re-do everything!!!
This week has been a challenge for me to say the least. Things have been going on with Smileys and Q-balls case and I was getting no answers and it has been stressful. Lightning has been overly defiant and whiny and has been using some harsh tactics on dear old Mom and by the time Thursday morning rolled around I was a BLUBBERING MESS!! I finally got to meet with my little boys case manger on Friday which meant I had to have someone help me out with Sissy's visit which I supervise. Luckily my friend Melissa had some spare time and was able to rescue me three times. She came to my rescue on Thursday and got me out of the house for most of the day and took Miss M andLightning on Friday so that they can not fight with Sissy's Bio Brothers about who Sissy belongs to. There have been actual fists flying a few times. Melissa also babysat for me when we went to Emmi's dance recital tonight. I got hung up on by customer service at B of A and had to drag all my kids down there Wednesday morning to resolve an issue with a closed account. I was furious!!! I think the biggest issues I have had this week have been emotional and all having to do with my kids and I am just worn out!!
It was so nice to leave the kiddos all but Sissy and Miss M at home and meet my parents to watch my sweet Miss M dance and then hang out at Sonic afterwords eating yummy treats. This is Emmi with her friend Miss A. Miss A is in our ward and Miss Mjust loves her to pieces. This little princess loves the spotlight and snuck an extra little dance solo in tonight and even tried again but the teacher finally caught on. I would have been embarrassed but she is just too cute and really wanted to be the queen dancer tonight. We assured her that she was the "best"dancer there . It was just what I heard all the other Parents and G-Parents telling there dancers. It is just to sweet to see their little faces light up with the compliment.
Hopefully next week will be a little less emotionally taxing for me . I think Lightning has just needed some extra attention from Mom and Dad and I was to busy just trying to survive that I didn't pick up on the signals. We now have "FIVE" cards. I took six index cards and wrote the #5 on them and put them on the fridge and when he does certain things (pre-designated) w/out the defiance and back talk and whining he earns a 'FIVE" card. The five represents minutes he gets to stay up late and hang with just Mom or Dad or both. It has been working so far. We will see how he does next week.

Quite the week! So glad that Melissa was able to rescue you...
Emmi looks so very cute for her recital!
And YAY for the home improvements!!
Your girls are precious! Eat'em up with a spoon. I can't even imagine the craziness that goes on with that many small children. Have you heard that new country song, about "You're gonna miss this" I often feel that crazies, but reallize that I don't want to miss taking all this in. That's why blogging is so great. The good, the bad, and the ugly is camptured for futures remembering. Miss ya
Sorry you had such a stressful week! You are amazing to do all you do for those sweet kiddos. Love that Emmi was trying to steal all the spotlight. And LOL at Sissi and her panties. And can't wait to see the pics of the finished rooms! Thanks for playing The View, too. You have a fun backyard with all the toys and tramp and sandbox. And I was laughing about what your dh said about the police car on my blog.
I hope this week is a little easier for you. Cant wait to see the pics of the sandbox. Emmi is too cute, love the dance costume.
Sounds like a crazy week. I'm right there with you. The end of the school year always seems to be mad chaos! I love your "I would love too" jar. You are so creative! (:
Love the "FIVE" cards too! Geez - does your brain ever quit with the awesome ideas?!?! :)
Sorry it's been such a rough week and hope you get a break soon!
Quite the week for you! I love your ideas- you are so creative! Your girls are so cute in their little dance outfits. Sometimes I wish putting my undies on the right way was my biggest concern.
Love the undies....my kids somehow always get their's backwards, but Nicole has had the leg hole confusion before!
Fun fun, with the new furniture and wall color! I love paint. We don't have a white wall in our house. but some of them have been the same color for too long so I'm itching for a change or two.
You have fantastic ideas for kids behavior....we're starting the "I'd Love To" jar this week, I'll let you know how it works out! I may have to implement the 5 cards if it helps with whining...so, so sick of the whining...
The best part about weeks like that are when they are over and you can look back, laugh, and be grateful you survived! And of course, find time for some Mommy Time Out time.
