IF ONLY?

If only I had known that getting one of these

would get this kid out off bed and doing his chores with out being asked. I would have ran out and joined the technological revolution much sooner. It has become quite the motivator the last few days. I know it won't last but I will milk it while I can!!!!!
During a morning run to Costco today Lightning asks from the back seat.

" Mom, where in The Book of Mormon is Elmo a Prophet?"

Ok seriously how does a Mom hold her laughter. I said,

" I think you must be talking about Alma."
He was so serious. I had to really control myself. I also got to thinking maybe we are not being clear enough in our family scripture study and FHE lessons if the kid is mixing up Sesame street with the scriptures. Time to rethink a few things huh?????

HILL-AIR-IOUS!! I know that's not how you spell it - but phonetically how I say it.

You say Alma, he says Elmo. Potatoe - Potato, a little confusion is expected when it comes to the scriptures.

I totally would've been LOL! We love the Wii in our house. Finally a video game that gets them off their butts! Nothing wrong with a little motivation {bribery}.

That was so funny about Elmo! (: I love the things kids say when they are trying to understand things, but just don't quite get it! And I'm so jealous about the Wii. I can't find one anywhere! (:

That is SO funny! It IS so hard to hold back your laughter when they say things like that!

We love the Wii too at our house. All the kids love it and will do pretty much anything to play it. Brett even saved up $180 to buy it. We told him we would pay the difference if he could save that much. He even asked our neighbor if he could pull her weeds to earn money! Gotta love that!
